* Understand product concept from the customer based on a benchmark sample

* Create ID design and seek customer approval

* Get Injection mold design/sheet metal tool design (in-house or outsourced) 

* Follow and manage tool build (all outsourced); conduct T0 to Tn to achieve FAI as per drawing

* Build prototype as per benchmark sample and seek customer’s approval

* Manage a small team of 5-6 engineers and designers

* Communicate on a regular basis with foreign customers and keep them updated about the status of their project

Requirement:

* Bachelors’ degree in mechanical engineering/tool-die making with focus on plastic injection tool building

* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

* Hands on experience in building tools and use of tool design software 

* Thorough knowledge of injection molding process and ability to trouble shoot

* Broad knowledge of general manufacturing processes (die casting, CNC machining, ultrasonic welding, stamping etc.)

* Willingness to work long hours in a high pressure environment

* Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin and experience of communication (oral and written) with foreign customers is a must.
